I’ve been so excited to begin working with Kelly & Kurt since the day we first spoke on the phone! Kelly had initially reached out to me before she even had a venue or a date set!! I will always stress how much of an honor it is to me when photography holds such such a special place for a couple on their wedding day. They told me everything about their venue and what was important to them and I knew we would be such a great fit based on what they value most.
Meeting the day of their engagement session confirmed my feeling was right. They are such a down-to-earth couple that you can tell just loves being together. They were up for any prompts I gave them, and we were able to utilize their own property for some of these photos, which I think is so special! I truly enjoyed being able to use different spots of their home to incorporate into this session – especially the most perfect apple tree at the end!! They’re putting so much work into their home, and now they have this special memory to add to all of the rest they will hold here.
The first thing Kelly told me when we were planning this session was how she wanted a woodsy vibe, and she got it! We started at Knox Farm to use the woods there, and then headed to their home just a short drive away. Both locations of the night compliment each other so well in these images.
I’m so happy to have had the time to spend with them to document their engagement, and I’m really looking forward to what’s to come as we further plan the details of their wedding day, next May!
