Buffalo Summer Engagement Session | Corrine & Geoffrey

Meet Corrine & Geoffrey! Corrine had found me through her best friend, who was also MOH in my most recent wedding, for Jessica & Steve! I just love when I get inquiries from a friend of a past or current bride, because it lets me know that the experience I give to my couples is something they want their friends to have as well!

Corrine said that her and Geoffrey had been engaged for a few years because they wanted to take some time to plan their wedding. Well, then the pandemic happened and messed up the date, and they decided they didn’t want to wait anymore. They decided to just have the vows and a dinner while still planning the big wedding for next year. Then while planning, their simple vows & dinner had turned into a full intimate-sized wedding day! When she said it was only about a month away, I was up for the challenge! There is so much more that goes into my job when a couple hires me than just taking photos. So we got on a call right after they booked and we’re able to plan out most of the timeline and other details that night!

We had talked about doing their engagement session at the Rose Garden in Delaware Park, and then she mentioned that there was a boathouse that we could go to which would be more meaningful to them because they use to compete in rowing during college, and that’s actually how they met! Once I heard that I looked it up and I knew we had to go there! A meaningful location is much more important for engagement photos than mostly anything else. There was also the fact that I had never been there that excited me, and it didn’t disappoint!

Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fontana Boathouse was so beautiful, as you can see below! We took advantage of both locations, and I think that they both turned out great! It was so fun getting to meet them and take these photos for them. They are such a sweet, fun couple, and that makes my job so much more enjoyable!

Enjoy Corrine & Geoffrey’s engagement photos, and stay tuned for sneak peeks of their wedding day this weekend!!
