I’m so excited to share my first snowy engagement session! Although I’m not one for being cold, taking engagement photos in the snow is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while and I think it’s safe to say it was definitely worth the 20 degree weather! (Thanks to Grace & Will for being such great sports about standing in a foot of snow for your portraits!) Grace & Will had gotten engaged on New Years and how Will popped the question was so sweet! He brought Grace outside to celebrate the New Year, and got down on one knee, with their fur baby Charlie in one hand and a ring in the other! Grace said there were actually fireworks in the sky as he asked her! Not even a week later I got an inquiry from an excited bride ready to plan her wedding! I absolutely love when brides are so on top of planning and it’s even better when they’re excited to book with me so soon after starting their search for a wedding photographer! As Grace & I started to talk about things, I began to get the feeling that we would be a great fit working together! We set up a time to talk via FaceTime and I was able to “unofficially” meet her and her mother! When we talked about when Grace would like to do the engagement session, her mother suggested doing it during the same season that they got engaged, and I’m glad we did! We decided to do the photos the next time there was snow on the ground, which happened to be only a couple weekends later. The day we chose also happened to be the first 20 degree day of the season, but that made it the perfect oppotunity for them to bring some hot chocolate for their new mugs! When we officially met that day I felt instantly so comfortable with them, and the entire session was so much fun with the personalities that these two have. Will kept everyone laughing nonstop, and I think that shows through in their photos. One of my main goals in my images is to show the true emotion behind them, and that was so easy with these two! I am beyond excited to see how much fun their wedding day turns out to be!
