Corrine & Geoffrey are MARRIED! Just one week after I shot their engagement photos, they were taking photos as HUSBAND & WIFE! If you haven’t read their engagement session, you probably don’t know about how the pandemic had effected their original wedding plans. Their initial plans for a traditional wedding day got delayed by a year, then two. In the meantime, they decided that they didn’t want to wait any longer to be married and planned to have a simple night of vows followed by dinner. Well that plan soon turned into an entire intimate backyard wedding, and I’m so glad I was able to capture it for them!
Corrine & Geoffrey’s intimate backyard wedding felt nothing short of a wedding at an expensive venue. The florals were stunning, the catering was amazing, the cake was gorgeous, and the entire night went so smoothly. Everyone and everything worked together so wonderfully. If you’re going to have a backyard wedding, this is the way to do it!
The day started off with a first look on the front lawn, followed by portraits at Glen Falls Park in Williamsville. I absolutely love when a couple decides to do a first look! This allows the bride and groom to share a private moment while they’re seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day. I really enjoyed seeing Geoffrey’s reaction to his bride-to-be. It was so sweet watching them be able to take in the moment together. Not only that, but when a couple decides on a first look before the ceremony, we get to push back the morning as much as we’d like to fit in portrait time! This way, Corrine & Geoffrey were able to head right into cocktail hour with everyone else after their ceremony! The most amazing dinner followed cocktail hour, along with toasts from the family, and then backyard games and mingling to wrap it up. With this being my first backyard wedding, I can definitely say I’m hoping for more! I hope you enjoy these images as much as I do!
To Corrine & Geoffrey, thank you so much for allowing me to capture these memories for you!
