I can’t say enough about how wonderful Megan & Steve’s wedding day was. From the moment I walked in the door to photograph the girls getting ready, everyone was so kind and helpful. I had the best light in such a beautiful space to photograph Megan getting in her dress (photographers – you know what a dream that is!), and such a sweet father/daughter first look to follow! We decided on Delaware Park for portraits at the Albright Knox Art Gallery steps, followed by the Niagara Square in downtown Buffalo for portraits with City Hall in the background! I was nervous we’d have to fight for the steps of the art gallery as it had just reopened to the public after years of being closed for construction, but we didn’t! We had the whole place to ourselves, as well as the square. We apparently picked the perfect time!
Ceremony and reception followed portraits, held at Pearl Street Brewery. Steve’s best man gave a toast before dinner that included a surprise for Steve, and honestly was something I’ve never seen done before during toasts! (Be sure to look out for that!) Then once the dance floor opened up Megan & Steve, being such diehard Bills fans, made sure to get their custom made jerseys on for the Bills shout song! It was such a great way to get the party going, and such a great way to end my night with them!
