I had the pleasure of spending my first wedding of the season with the new Mr & Mrs Johnson. Ashley, Charlie, and both of their families are some of the sweetest people I’ve met in all of my years of photographing weddings. Within minutes of arriving that morning, I was already being offered so much help and kindness. It was just the same personalities I came to know from Ashley & Charlie during their engagement session the Fall prior. It was very apparent they both come from amazing families.
The natural green tones of the day, Ashley’s careful planning of every detail, and beautiful weather set the stage for their May wedding in Clymer, Ny. The day was filled with so many emotional, meaningful moments that truly gave a glimpse into the special connection that these two share with their loved ones. Ashley’s Mom helping her into her dress was followed by the opening of Charlie’s gift, and then a heartwarming first look with her father. She presented him with a photo of the two of them for his tie, and their beautiful bond continued to shine into the reception when he, as well as Charlie’s Father gave speeches that brought the room to tears.
Between the vendor team, weather, portrait locations, and people – I couldn’t have asked for a better way to start off my year. It was everything a couple can hope for on their wedding day, and Bear Ridge Destination provided a truly remarkable setting for the day.
