Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Lawton!! Grace & Will are MARRIED!
I can’t even begin to explain how grateful I am to have met these two and to have captured these special memories for them. I have never laughed as much at an engagement session, or on a wedding day, than I did with them! They are so easy to get along with, and such an incredibly sweet couple. The love that their friends and family have for them was shown throughout the entire day, from getting ready all the way to the dance party at the end of the night.
As I arrived to Grace’s parent’s house Sunday morning where the girls were getting ready, I met everyone and began to get ready to photograph Grace’s details. Without even knowing me for 5 minutes, her family and friends were already helping me gather things to photograph and showing me different rooms of the house. Those are the small gestures that really show me how the day is going to go. I knew already that Grace had a great group of people by her side. After Grace had gotten ready (with her dog Charlie by her side the whole time), she shared three different first looks with loved ones! First was her bridesmaids, then her mother-in-law-to-be and Wills niece, and finally was Grace’s father. This father/daughter first look has got to be the sweetest first look I’ve ever captured! The entire room was in tears! Make sure to look out for those photos – they really show why I suggest adding them to a wedding day timeline!
After the ceremony at their church, we headed to Grace’s Aunt’s house for bridal party portraits followed by Grace & Will’s first portraits as husband and wife! Grace wanted some fun photos of the bridal party so we headed to the playground! I love capturing a couples personality through their photos, so fun Bridal party portraits were perfect for Grace & Will! I also want to add how awesome everyone was for adventuring through the woods to get to the Portrait locations.. Will was even singing for us too! 😂
Their reception held even more laughs and love from their friends and family. The toasts had everyone laughing, crying, and laughing again. They even had their first dance to a song that Will’s dad sang live! That along with Will’s brother singing for their ceremony were such special touches to add to their wedding day.
I hope you enjoy viewing these photos from their day, as much as I enjoy sharing them! Grace & Will – thank you SO much for choosing me to be the one to capture these memories for you! I absolutely loved celebrating your day with you and your friends & family! Enjoy the rest of your time in Aruba!
